The National Trust for Scotland Education Department has a wide range of educational resources available to support teachers and learners. We are always interested in working with and developing resources for teachers so we need your comments/feedback and suggestions on this website and any other Trust projects. Please contact us if you want to develop something for a property near you or a resource which you feel would be of use to teachers and pupils throughout Scotland.
Study boxes may be borrowed prior to visiting a property and contain a wealth of resources and handling objects.
A wide range of publications also helps to enhance visits and curriculum work.
A range of multimedia CD's is currently being developed. These allow pupils to
explore properties by making ‘virtual visits’ to historic castles
and houses as well as being able to dive beneath the sea at St Abbs Head or
watch the wildlife in Glencoe.
Every National Trust for Scotland property has a property information leaflet
which details the educational potential of each property and suggests possible
links with the 5-14 and secondary curriculum as well as providing details on
how to book and contact our staff.
