Each National Trust for Scotland property has a Property Manager responsible for the day to day care and running of the property. In addition there are usually teams of guides who provide information to visitors. Some properties have education guides who specialise in taking school/college parties around the property. Many of these guides have an education background and are aware of the needs and expectations of visiting groups. It may be that your visit relates to a particular topic which your class is studying - discuss this with property staff prior to your visit in case they are able to offer additional material or information to enhance your pupils' experience.
Many properties have spectacular gardens which are cared for by experts. While gardeners are usually very busy, many are able to work with schools - Kellie Castle, Priorwood Garden, Brodick Castle, Culzean Castle, Culross and many others all have staff who are committed to the Trust's lifelong learning policy.
