Young Naturalists, Green Teams and others
Many young people visit NTS properties with their schools or colleges. However there are many other opportunities to pursue your hobbies or interests. Are you interested in wildlife, conservation, archaeology, history, bird watching or would you just like to help care for Scotland's environment with other people of your age and interests?
Many of our rangers run Young Naturalists' Clubs or Green Teams where you can find out about your local wildlife and how to care for it and the environment you both live in.
If you are over 16 you could take part in a Thistle Camp or work with the Conservation Volunteers. Thistle Camps are working holidays where you can help with the management and conservation of Scotland's wild areas. If you are participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, working on a Thistle Camp can help you achieve the award. Conservation Volunteers take part in projects throughout Scotland at weekends.
In addition to these, many of our properties have special events and workshops just for young people. You do not need to be a member of the NTS so why not find out just what you can do - for yourself and for conservation in Scotland?
