Grids, Maps, Finds and Site Visits

These activities introduce pupils to evidence gathering and recording, which are an important part of archaeology, and are suitable for pupils aged 8 – 18 years. The activities can be stand-alone, or in preparation for a class visit to a historic site or excavation. Advice on making site visits is included.

Pupils in the Tayside area undertook most of the activities, during the Ben Lawers Historic Landscape Project.
